Easter Weekend: The Perfect Occasion to Visit Newborns at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum
OTTAWA, March 30, 2015 – Each year, Spring breathes new life in the barns of the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, (CAFM) and the Easter long weekend is the perfect occasion to visit the newborns, and take part in many other exciting activities.
This year, the recent births of triplet goats attracted a lot of attention, but there are many more cute and cuddly babies at the CAFM around Easter time: the new lambs, chicks, and ducklings will capture visitors’ hearts as well.
Eggs and rabbits are also Easter favourites, and visitors can take part in Easter egg hunts while looking out for signs of spring around the Museum grounds. There will be lots to learn about eggs, including opportunities to compare different types of eggs and admire some uniquely decorated Easter eggs.
Visitors who stop by the demonstration kitchen will be treated to another Easter staple –chocolate! Demonstrations on cooking with chocolate will be taking place, and visitors can enjoy a sweet treat.
