Canadian Agricultural Literacy Week

Canadian Agriculture Literacy Week is an initiative of Agriculture in the Classroom across Canada to raise student awareness about Canadian Agriculture. Visit the Museum, a farm, or look online for ways to participate in your community! The Museum will have great activities all month long to celebrate Canadian agriculture.

Pulses Travelling Display in Winnipeg!

February 27 to March 2

To celebrate Canadian Agriculture Literacy Week and the International Year of Pulses, the Museum is hitting the road! Staring on February 27, visit CF Polo Park in Winnipeg to check out the travelling display 'Pulses- The Ideal Partner' created by the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum and Pulse Canada. Stop by to learn how pulses — dried peas, beans, lentils, and chickpeas, which are all edible seeds of plants in the legume family — are a healthy and sustainable food. Even though Canada is one of the world’s largest pulse producers and exporters, most Canadians know very little about this family of nutritious foods!
