Holiday Programming – Winter Frolic

*Please note that the Museum will be open on Monday, December 28 and Tuesday, December 29 during Holiday Programming.

Come to the Museum to discover A Pioneer Winter! Walk through a pioneer homestead-themed display in the Learning Centre. See how a Canadian pioneer family may have decorated its home, burned fuels for warmth and homemade candles for light, prepared wool for clothing, and made handmade toys for gift giving.

Also, visitors can enjoy our gingerbread house village which will be on display for viewing and judging. Then, for a tasty treat, join us in our demonstration kitchen to bake soft ginger cookies as well as candy cane cookies, and learn how to make ginger honey lemon tea while discovering the history of ginger. Don’t forget to stop by our printmaking craft corner, visit the animals in the barns and check out the other demonstrations being offered!
